*I did this artwork in celebration of myself and my birthday which will be in five more days. I was born on December 21st (1974), which is the first day of summer in my native country Peru. However here in Canada it is the first day of winter, and since I have been celebrating my birthdays here in Canada since my arrival in 1987, I though I would create something special to honour that.

Hello, my name is Marilyn. I Live in Ontario with my husband and my two little children. I was born in Lima, Peru, but have been living in Canada since the age of twelve. I am a Visual Artist, Photographer and Pianist. I graduated from York University with an Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts (Double Major in Visual Arts and French Language and Literature). My father gave me my first camera when I was twelve and since then photography has been one of my passions in life.
